Comcast Light Up Night

In 1960, Gunsmoke was the top-rated show on TV, Bill Mazeroski’s dramatic ninth-inning home run clinched the World Series for the Pirates in game seven against the Yankees, and Pittsburgh’s downtown department stores unveiled their Holiday displays during Pittsburgh’s first official Light Up Night.

For 55 years, Pittsburghers have celebrated the start of the Winter Holiday season by visiting the Golden Triangle the Friday before Thanksgiving for an evening of music, lights, food, and fireworks.  We are proud to support this iconic event as the title sponsor for Pittsburgh’s 56th Annual Light Up Night.

Comcast Light Up Night is the region’s largest one-day event, and one of the biggest Holiday celebrations in the country.  Our goal is for XFINITY to help it be the best celebration yet.  This year, experience Comcast Light Up Night like never before by:

  • Creating your family’s Holiday photo in the XFINITY Holiday Sleigh
  • Enjoying O.A.R. Jimbo and the Soupbones and Beauty Slap at the Comcast Main Stage
  • Sharing your photos on interactive social media streams displayed throughout the event using the hashtag #LUN2016
  • Experiencing the NASCAR VR experience at the Xfinity tent. While you’re there, feel free to use the XFINITY Re-charging Station.

In our “City of Neighborhoods,” we are proud to support an event that is such a significant part of Pittsburgh’s legacy.  We can’t wait to see you and your families downtown enjoying the Holiday Market in Market Square, ice skating at PPG Place, and visiting all our local merchants and restaurants. We look forward to celebrating Comcast Light Up Night with Pittsburgh! Happy Holidays from all of us at Comcast!
