Comcast held a special event today to celebrate the grand opening of its newest Xfinity Store at 219 Summit Park Drive in North Fayette Township, the fifth Comcast facility of its kind in the area. The new Xfinity Store is located six miles from the former service center on Gracy Center Way in Moon Township and provides customers more convenient access on Interstate 376 in a popular retail location bordering Robinson Township.
The 5,000 square foot center, designed entirely around the needs and feedback of Comcast customers, is larger than the former facility and provides visitors with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact with the latest Xfinity products and services, including the recently launched Xfinity Mobile product line. Customers can also pay their Comcast bills, return and pick up equipment and purchase consumer electronics products like HDMI cables, networking gear and routers, giving them a unique one-stop shop where they can purchase the Xfinity Services they want along with the accessories they need to maximize their entertainment experience.
Other Pittsburgh-area Xfinity Stores are located at:
- 790 Providence Boulevard, Pittsburgh
- 22 Old Mill Boulevard, Washington
- 824 East Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg
- Siena at St. Clair, 100 Siena Drive, Upper St. Clair
Community leaders helped celebrate the opening and tour the new space. Additionally, North Fayette Township Volunteer Fire Department’s Chief Gary Hamilton was in attendance to accept a $1,000 donation from Comcast to support the Fire Department’s work in the community.
The new Xfinity Store features flat screen TVs, iPads and a seating area for demonstrations of the new X1 platform. Customers can also try out Comcast’s popular apps like Xfinity Stream and Xfinity Connect. Kiosks around the center provide the opportunity to experience Xfinity TV, and learn more about Xfinity Internet speeds, Xfinity Voice service and Xfinity Home, Comcast’s security and home automation solution.
In addition, customers will enjoy personalized service from trained and knowledgeable sales consultants, along with time-saving features like self-serve bill pay and a queuing system that allows customers to explore the store instead of waiting in line for service.
“We are thrilled to open an Xfinity Store for our Pittsburgh area customers and to provide them with a more welcoming, efficient and interactive experience,” said Alan Clairmont, vice president of marketing for Comcast’s Keystone Region. “Placing a larger retail store in a convenient location already frequently used by our customers is just one way we are continuing to create a better customer experience.”
The new Xfinity Store is open seven days a week – Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
