Module to host panel discussion: Defining the Future of Housing

Module, a Pittsburgh startup developing affordable, adaptable housing solutions, will host a panel discussion and networking session, “Defining the Future of Housing,” at the outdoor plaza at Nova Place, 100 South Commons on the North Side, beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9.

This event, open to the public, brings together leaders in their fields who will discuss which aspects of housing will be “smart” in 10 years, how much the sharing economy will affect housing and whether houses will really be built like cars. The discussion will cover the fields of Internet of Things, Construction and Innovative real estate.

The panelists include:

  • Jenny Fielding, Managing Director, Techstars ioT
  • Michael Dickens, Partner, Chief Marketing Officer, IBACOS
  • Sandy Albert, Director of Real Estate Acquisitions, Common
  • David Wechsler, Senior Director, Business and Channel Partnership, Xfinity Home

The Module housing unit which is located on the Nova Place plaza and is outfitted with Xfinity Home and Xfinity Video and Internet services, will be open for tours at 6 p.m., when drinks will also be served. The panel will begin at 6:30, with questions from the audience at 7:15 and networking opportunities continuing after 7:30.
