There are many advantages to being a sports fan with Xfinity video service, from the live stats and scores available via the X1 Sports App to the wide range of programming options that include NFL Redzone and special collections of On Demand content. One of those here in Western Pennsylvania is our WPIAL Xfinity High School Sports Game of the Week.

All Xfinity TV subscribers with Digital Starter and above packages get free access to the Xfinity High School Sports Game of the Week beginning the day after the game is played through the Get Local and Sports folders on their legacy On Demand menu, or by navigating to the On Demand, Xfinity Services and Get Local menus on their X1 platform.

Chris Shovlin (play-by-play) and Ellis Cannon (color analyst) join sideline reporters Meg Bulger and Tim Benz to bring fans games they want to watch again or perhaps missed the first time around. The programming includes halftime band performances, Fan of the Game interviews, features on the local flavors at the concession stand and the Comcast Spirit Award.

The video here captures some of the excitement from the recent showdown between Mt. Lebanon and Canon-McMillan, but we have more games coming. Those include Woodland Hills at Hampton (Sept. 29), Shady Side Academy at Avonworth (Oct. 13), Belle Vernon at West Mifflin (Oct. 20), Penn Trafford at McKeesport (Oct. 27) and games from each of the first two weeks of the WPIAL playoffs.
