Boys & Girls Cubs of America and Sunday Night Football have teamed up this season to showcase footballs designed to highlight hometown team spirit. NBC Sports’ SNF Tour visited the Duquesne-West Mifflin Boys & Girls Club before the Steelers v Ravens game and provided tours of the SNF Bus as well as a football decorating party.
SNF staff selected Club Member Lyniah’s ball as this week’s “Player of the Game” ball to be showcased on the bus for the duration of the tour. Her football will be on display along with balls created by boys and girls from each of the SNF cities the bus travels to this season. The footballs show the pride the kids have for their hometown and embody the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
During their visit to the bus, Club members saw the SNF Carrie Underwood Music Experience, locker room replicas featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, the Boys and Girls Clubs Football Wall, a FNIA broadcasters desk, a football interactive wall and a “On Her Turf” selfie mirror. The Steelers meet up with the Ravens at 8:20 pm Sunday at Heinz Field.
