Comcast Celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month and employees throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland are celebrating all month long.  Follow Twitter throughout February to “meet” members of our Black Employee Network (BEN) and learn how they’re remembering influential Black Americans all month long.

From February 1 through February 28, Xfinity On Demand will highlight the New Renaissance of Black Entertainment in the new content experience:

  • For the Culture: The New Renaissance – Collection features TV series, movies and music like The Hate U Give, BlacKkKlansman, America to Me, Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story and Get Out. The collection offers Xfinity TV customers a curated look into programming that highlights the most timely and relevant cultural moments of today with nearly 1000 hours of content from networks including Urban Movie Channel, Brown Sugar, Afro, Cleo, Aspire, BET, TV One and many more.
  • February Free Preview – X1 customers also have access to weekly free content in the Black Film & TV destination from various networks like HBO, BET, Urban Movie Channel and many more.

Black History: Always On – Collection showcases documentaries, biopics, short-form interviews and vignettes of African American historical figures and pioneers, as well as history-themed movies and TV series. Programs include TV One’s Behind the Movement, Aspire TV’s Martin Luther King Jr: A Historical Perspective, Madiba from BET, Marshall from Universal and more.

Xfinity X1 customers can explore content using their X1 voice remote or by downloading the Xfinity Stream app onto their smartphone or tablet.
