Recently, Comcast’s Women’s Network hosted a leadership workshop for about 200 Sto-Rox Middle School students in McKees Rocks. Women’s Network members brought Comcast leaders who inspire them to share stories about their careers, lessons they’ve learned about money and how to make career choices that help them accomplish their life goals.

Joe Zoffel, Director of Business Operations from Comcast’s Keystone Region shared, “No one ever told me what to do with money, how to protect it, how to grow it, how to manage it. That conversation never happened. My parents never talked to me about money other than for me to go out and earn it because they had none to give me.”

Other leaders who shared advice with the students were Toni Murphy, Regional Vice President of Comcast Business, who encouraged them to “reflect on what you learned each day,” Aaron Mimran, Vice President of Project Management Operations who suggested “never be afraid of other people” and Mike Taylor, Senior Director of SMB Sales who told them “success is not an accident.”

Students participated in a quiz game and also learned about Comcast’s Internet Essentials low-cost broadband internet program for families who qualify.
