Today, Comcast Business introduced a new client services team dedicated to the Cleveland community at an educational and networking event at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Comcast Business supports enterprise customer locations around the world – many outside of the traditional Comcast footprint – with a broad suite of technology solutions including global secure networking, advanced cybersecurity and unified communications solutions. The new team, composed of veteran telecom professionals, is focused on expanding opportunities with businesses located throughout Greater Cleveland.
“From SD-WAN to advanced cybersecurity, Comcast Business provides the connectivity solutions and superior client service needed to help businesses thrive,” said Aaron Mimran, Vice President of Comcast Business for the Keystone Region. “Our team will bring a new level of partnership to this vital Cleveland market.”
At the event, Comcast also presented a $150,000 grant to Cleveland that was accepted by Mayor Justin M. Bibb. Through the Talent for Tomorrow: Digital Equity Challenge, Cleveland was among ten cities to receive grants from Comcast Corporation and the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) for its leadership and commitment to expanding digital programs to help close the skills gap. The grant will support the city’s REC-N-TEC program, which uplifts residents by training them on vital workforce skills that advance economic mobility and help build a stronger, more prosperous Cleveland. Talent for Tomorrow: Digital Equity Challenge is a joint initiative of the USCM and Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to creating a future of unlimited possibilities.
“Improving our community’s digital access and training opportunities gives Cleveland residents more tools to be competitive in today’s digital economy,” said Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb. “We’re excited to build upon our workforce development programming with this grant and are thankful for Comcast and the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ commitment to Cleveland’s success.”
“The mayors that serve our local communities know what’s needed most for their residents to thrive,” said Tom Cochran, USCM CEO and Executive Director. “We’re proud to partner with Comcast to support the great work Cleveland and other cities are doing to close the digital divide and invigorate even more digital training opportunities.”
“Today’s events mark the start of an exciting relationship between Comcast and the City of Cleveland,” said Ricky Frazier Jr., Senior Vice President of Comcast for the Keystone Region. “We look forward to building on this success for years to come.”
