Last year, Comcast Business completed construction to serve businesses in the Pennsylvania townships of Cranberry, Marshall and Pine , finding many  challenged with supporting a virtual workforce and providing new, secure transaction options to serve customers. These needs added up to make cybersecurity more important than ever.

The Comcast Business advanced network provides local businesses of all sizes with Ethernet, Internet, Wi-Fi and Voice solutions, and Comcast Business SecurityEdge and Advanced Security can help protect against threats like malware, ransomware, phishing and botnet attacks.

“During 2021, the first full year that we’ve offered access to service for more than 2,400 additional business addresses in the greater Cranberry area, cyberattacks were on the rise,” said Aaron Mimran, Regional Vice President for Comcast Business. “Not only does our local team understand the needs of businesses in the Route 19 corridor, but they know how to assess a local network’s strengths and weaknesses to help implement the right combination of tools that work best for specific needs.”

In addition to boosting cybersecurity and other technology for area businesses, Comcast Business has supported the local community in other ways.  Recently, as presenting sponsor of the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber’s 2021 Taste of Cranberry event to help local restaurants still recovering from a difficult year, Comcast Business matched ticket sales and doubled the donation to participating establishments.

“The fact that Comcast Business reached out to us and said ‘we would love to match your donations’ is huge for our community,” said Annie Cairns, Director of Marketing and Events for the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber.

The Comcast Business expansion into northwestern Allegheny County and southwestern Butler County is one of many in recent years. Others include Pittsburgh, Brookville, Harrisburg, Chambersburg, Lititz, Ephrata, Kingston and Somerset and Fayette counties in Pennsylvania, as well as expansions in Steubenville, OH, Garrett County, MD and Preston County, WV.
