Comcast Celebrates Lunar New Year in Pittsburgh

Comcast’s employee resource groups came together this week to celebrate Lunar New Year at Comcast’s regional headquarters in North Fayette Township. Employees learned calligraphy, make Chinese lanterns, listen to music and learn how the holiday is celebrated in different Asian countries.

Comcast’s Black Employee Network, Young Professionals Network, Unidos, Women’s Network, OUT, VetNet, MyAbilities and Asian Pacific American employee resource groups each hosted activities and provided fun facts for employees who visited. Comcast’s employee resource groups offer opportunities for employees to develop themselves and to execute, at a grassroots level, important initiatives for the company.

From January 20th to February 9th Xfinity will celebrate the Lunar New Year with a specially curated viewing experience on X1. Every week you can tune in to find a new collection designed to highlight the vast content available from various TV networks, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and more, including:

  • A free preview from Kocowa, which will offer full seasons of Korea’s most popular tv series on demand, such as Stove League and VIP.
  • A special collection of recent international hits from China, such as The Wandering Earth, Iceman, The Palace; and the 2020 Golden Globes® winner, The Farewell.
  • Other Lunar New Year content from China, Japan, Philippines, and Korea.
